Recipe: Orange & Basil Sofi Spritz

Let’s admit, the most beautiful thing about a sunny Saturday afternoon is spritzers. And I’ve just discovered another spectactular way to spritzedy spritz.
Sofi Spritz is a ready to drink (something cool people call RTD). It’s a crisp wine spritzer mixed with blood orange, bitters, Riesling and soda.
While spritzers are just becoming popular here in Australia, they’ve been a part of the Mediterranean way of life forever. It’s the perfect aperitif (that’s a fancy word for palate cleanser…) or afternoon beverage, i.e. low on alcohol, revitalising and pure. Now we’ve been inducted to this aperitivo hour pastime, it’s unlikely we can ever go back.
While Sofi is designed to be poured over ice and enjoyed or even sipped straight from the bottle with a straw if that’s your thing, I thought I’d give it a little Saturday avo flair.
Try this…
Ingredients
- 45ml Vodka
- 150ml Sofi Spritz
- Orange wedge
- Sprig of fresh basil
Method
Add plenty of ice to tall glass and add vodka. Garnish with orange and basil. Top with Sofi Spritz.
Simple.
Cheers!
