Recipe: Havana Holiday
It’s Wednesday again and I’m dreaming of holidays in warm, tropical places. Wishful thinking… It doesn’t help that Melbourne is having an entirely unseasonal summer. So for Hump Day Happy Hour, I decided to create a fruity, Bahamas style drink and imagine white sandy beaches and sunsets.
I call this one Havana Holiday – the holiday you’re havin’ when you’re not havin’ a holiday.
- 45ml Light Rum (Mt Gay)
- 15 ml Triple Sec
- 30 ml unsweetened pineapple juice
- 30 ml pink grapefruit juice
- 30 ml coconut juice
- 15 ml passionfruit
- 15 ml fresh lime juice
Add all ingredients to shaker with ice. Shake to chill and froth.
Strain contents of shaker to tall/highball glass. Top with extra ice and passionfruit pulp.
Garnish – a slice of pineapple, lime wheel &/or pink grapefruit twist.
