Recipe: Autumn Whisperer
Anyone else completely baffled by the weather this week?
Melbourne went from a perfect 30 degree day on Sunday to grey and gloomy the next.
In typical Melbourne style the seasons changed from summer to autumn overnight. Driving home tonight I noticed the autumn colours and the leaves falling from the trees.
Right up until last week I was still making summer cocktails. As fast as I can break out the winter woolies I’m switching to an autumnal theme.
- 60 ml bourbon
- 60 ml apricot nectar
- 8 sage leaves
- 2 wedges lemon
- Bitter Lemon Sparkling Water
- Garnish: 1 slice of fresh apricot & 1 sage leaf
Add sage leaves and lemon wedges to glass. Muddle. Add bourbon, apricot nectar and ice cubes. Stir with long cocktail spoon. Top with ice and Bitter Lemon Sparkling Water. Garnish.
